The AMiA Winter Conference
This past week was a momentous week! And I choose that word carefully…as several significant and important events transpired.
I was a featured speaker at the Anglican Mission Winter Conference. I taught church planting for two days, gave a talk titled The Gospel of The Kingdom as a Basis for Evangelistic Church Planting and taught two workshops on Evangelism in Contemporary Culture. It is great fun to be with such passionate learners who are committed to practicing what they learn.
My first book, Christianity Beyond Belief was just released. I did a book signing and all the copies shipped to the conference sold out! Amazon currently says the book will ship in 3–6 weeks, but that is only because it has not yet arrived to their warehouse from IVP. Once it arrives to Amazon, sales and shipping will be normal.
My church planting life with the Anglican Mission in the Americas has also taken on a life of its own. My goal to plant 200 contemporary/missional Anglican churches by 2020 is finding good soil in the hearts of leaders, young church planters and donors alike. This all makes me genuinely humble and grateful. The momentum behind this is way more than anything my hard work or ingenuity could produce. I have a dozen or so church planters to work with already and I am simultaneously planting in Eagle, Idaho and Costa Mesa, California. Sounds impossible—I know—but you’ll hear more about this soon.
We are just completing a 30-Day Pilot Program with 3 is Enough in anticipation of my book release which invites people to consider 3 is Enough Groups as a new way to live and practice spiritual formation within the context of the normal rhythms and routines of their lives. It’s a learning experience for all involved.
Finally, I have decided to bring my web world together here on my own personal web site. Take a look around.

Todd, congratulations on the launch of “Beyond Belief”, and on your website, and all the other momentous changes.
It’s all good – but I just CAN’T QUITE get used to the robes! (saw the photos on Debbie’s Facebook page). It’s all too much for a Vineyard girl.
Blessings to you and the family. Looking forward to having you here in the neighborhood now and then.

Thank sis!
And Marti: don’t worry–the robes are only for VERY special occasions

Todd: I love the way you write…reading your book is like hearing you talk. Your plenary session at Winter Conference was fabulous. Where is that bridge?! I hate I didn’t have more time to spend with Debbie, Carol, and Vivian. I suspect the same will be true for them when I come to CA for your ordination! Abundant Blessings! Susan

Todd — welcome to the AMiA!!
Question — are plans in the works for you to gather some leaders — especially AMiA folk — and pass on some of your experience/expertise in the kind of mass church planting movement you are fostering out west? I know I would highly value some exposure to what you are doing and how, etc.
Peace, Peter+

Todd – best wishes for the new book and ventures. We’ve been members of “three is enough” for years
… very healthy to see the ecclesia moving away from institution and back to the simplicity of people on a journey.

Congratulations on everything Todd. My copy of your book arrived a few days ago, and I’m really looking forward to diving in. Thanks for the encouragement you’ve given me, and so many others in the Kingdom.

Todd. Well done on the new site. I just came across this via deepchurch.org.uk. A friend of mine who currently resides in Cali used to live in London and knows those dudes. Anyway, I am excited about you’re doing in the Mission and hope to partner with you as times goes by.
Peace out.

Thank you to you all!
Some cliches are actually useful. Here is one: the older I get the more I know that the best things in life consist of family and true friends!
Thanks for enriching my life!

You are the most amazing and humble human being and Christ follower I know and fortunately I get to walk this journey by your side. Does not get any better than that! Love you my hubby!

Todd,
Many thanks for your wisdom & clarity of thought around this re-framing of what it means to be a Christian! Our 3iE group is still going & we’re seeing some amazing growth that wouldn’t have happened if not for our fellowship & habit of meeting together, praying, asking questions & most of all laughing! During one of our meetings, a guy in our group stopped & looked at us & said, “hey, this is the church!”
p.s. many thanks for the book, I just started reading it, great stuff!

Todd – I’m here in Franklin, TN because of your advice of “take a step and keep taking a step until you feel uneasy about it…then stop.” So thanks for being that person of faithsteps in the Kingdom.
Blessings,
Jon
